Did you know your Total Rewards Diamond card from Harrah's can act as a pass into selected other player's clubs? Just think of it as ready-made credit. If you've played enough to earn Diamond at Harrah's, other casinos will bump you up in status at their player's clubs to try to lure some of your play to their casino. If you didn't achieve Diamond again last year, your card expires this month. What better way than to try for other casinos' higher tiers? At The Venetian, you'll be bumped up one level to Gold status, which normally requires 2,000 points (1 point = $20 in slots playthrough or $50 in video poker) in one year. As a Gold member, you'll receive access to the Gold Club Lounge, line passes to the Grand Lux Cafe, a 10 percent discount to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, other discounts at participating Grand Canal Shoppes, a separate line at the Player's Club, and express valet service. Every 100 points you earn while a Gold member, you'll receive $15 in cashback (normally $10). Take your Diamond card to parts East, namely The Borgata in Atlantic City, and you'll be given their sought-after Black Label Card, normally requiring $300,000 of playthrough before receiving. The Black Label will get you a free night in a classic room, separate lines at the player's club, restaurant, and hotel, primary seating, access to the Amphora Lounge that contains an open bar, a 10 percent discount off the Borgata Collection, and free self and valet parking (we Las Vegans are spoiled by these always being free). Other casinos may accept the Diamond card as a sort of prescreened play test, but these are the two that we know about. |
