While the smoking ban has been hotly contested since Nevada voters approved it in December, one casino in Lake Tahoe has decided to become the first nonsmoking casino in Nevada.

Bill's Lake Tahoe Casino is owned by Harrah's and has received relatively few complaints from gamblers in the past couple months.

Smokers are legally allowed to continue smoking in gaming areas, just not around food being served.

If this experiment holds (or increases) the profits, look for other casinos in Harrah's empire to also convert.
