These are the many games offered at PokerInCanada.com:

Texas Hold'em:
Also known simply as Hold’em, this variation of 7-Card Stud, is becoming the most popular poker game in the world. No Limit and Pot Limit Hold'em are also available at PokerInCanada.com.

Omaha & Omaha Hi/Lo
Omaha is very similar to to Hold'em, but has a greater chance of making bigger hands and provides for some extremely exciting games.

7 Card Stud & 7 Hi/Lo
For years the most popular poker game anywhere. In private homes, it is still the "King" of all poker games.

Guts Poker:
In Guts Poker, players ante and are dealt 3 cards. Each then has two options: stay in or fold. Of those who stay in, the winning poker hand takes the pot. All losing hands must match the pot as their next ante.

In the Survivor Variation of Guts Poker, it is only the lowest losing hand that must match the final pot as his/her next ante.

Chinese Poker:
Ever wished you could play multiple hands at the same table? With Chinese Poker, you will. Create three simultaneous hands, do battle with your opponents, and you can walk away with big winnings.

Big 2 Poker:
Deuces are never wild at PokerInCanada.com, but on the Big 2 Poker tables they're high. In this Asian game whose popularity is spreading like wildfire, the object is to lose cards (and gain chips) as quickly as possible.

Pan:
Pan, or Panguingue, is especially popular in California and South Florida, and now, through the magic of the internet, around the world.

Black Jack:
The objective of this popular table game is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer's cards, without going over 21.

Tournaments:
Texas Hold'em tournaments are here at PokerInCanada.com. Play in a 10, 6 or 2 player tournament today.

Player Notes:
If you're like most players, and you play with the same opponents enough, you can't help but notice quirks in their behavior. That woman opposite me always plays the nuts. Isn't the guy on 3rd base bluffing far too often? Of course, when you're at a physical table, you have to keep those notes in your head.

But not at PokerInCanada.com. We're proud to announce updated Player Notes. Now you can track how your opponents play, and not worry about them looking at you funny.

Just right-click an opponent's seat, and make your private notes in the text window. Click Update to save.

Buddy List:
Any social activity is more enjoyable with friends, so PokerInCanada.com developed the Buddy List. If you enjoy playing or communicating with certain players, you can make them a regular part of your play.

From the lobby, click Buddy List to open the Buddy List window. From there you can add and remove buddies, or join a buddy's table.

Tournaments are currently available 24 hours a day.

Once you are inside the Registering Lobby, you will notice a button in the lower right hand corner that says "Register Now". Click this button if you wish to join the tournament. If you have not already logged in, this button will appear as a login button. You must be logged in to register.

After clicking the Register for Tournament button, you will be prompted with a window asking you to provide a form of payment in order to enter the tournament. In most cases, this payment method is cash, but in certain circumstances you will also find you can enter using POP, Treasure, Promobucks, and even Play Money!

After clicking ok, your name will be added to the list of registered players and you need simply wait for the tournament to start. If at any point before the tournament begins you wish to unregister, you are free to do so by clicking the unregister button at the bottom left of the tournament lobby. If you choose to unregister your tournament fee will be automatically refunded.

Sit n Go Tournaments

A Sit n Go tournament is one with 2-10 players which starts immediately after the required number of players for that particular tournament is satisfied.

Each player begins the tournament with the exact same amount of chips. There are both Limit and No Limit Hold’em Sit n Go tournaments. Panguingue Sit n Go tournaments are also available. Play continues until one player has all of the chips. When this occurs the prizes are awarded according to the prize payout for that particular tournament.

Multi-stage Tournaments:

A multi-stage tournament is a tournament in which players buy-in in rounds, and compete to get to the next round. The winner(s) of each round are given entry in to the following round by way of direct entry or treasure.

Multi-Stage tournaments operate as multiple single table tournaments where the winner moves on to the next round. Players begin with an equal stack of chips at the first table. Play continues until each player loses all of their chips. As each player is eliminated they are removed from the tournament and play continues among the remaining players. Play continues until there is only one player remaining who controls all the chips. This winner (and in certain cases second, third and even fourth place) are awarded entry into the next round or are awarded treasure. The winner(s) can then buy into the next round, and continue their way towards overall victory.

In case of disputes, PokerInCanada.com's management decision will be final.

Treasure:

Treasure is often used in multi-stage tournaments so that an entry to the next round can be issued to the player, so that they do not have to play in a specific game at a specific time.
The Copper coin is the lowest piece of treasure, good enough for the rookie, but definitely not enough booty for a veteran.
The Silver Ring proves that you have some skill and have won at least one tournament, but how good are you compared to other winners?
With the goldbar you have proven your poker dominance. You have clearly shown your prowess and the gold bar proves it.
The Gem puts you only 1 step away from the final round. The Gem is not an easy piece of treasure to obtain and you should be proud of your achievements thus far. However, there is still one more round to go.
If you have a Black Pearl, you are truly a fine poker player and have progressed to the upper echelon of poker players at PokerInCanada.com

How does it work?

Treasure is used to provide entry into the next round of a tournament. For example if a player enters into a Level 1 stage of a multi-stage tournament they will win a Copper coin. They can use that Copper coin now to enter in to a Level 2 stage and play to win a Silver ring. Using the Silver ring a player can enter a Level 3 stage tournament and play to win a Gold bar. Upon winning the Gold bar a player can now enter a Level 4 stage of a tournament. The prize for winning a Level 4 stage tournament is a Gem stone, which will gain you entry into Level 5, which is the final level. The winner(s) of this level often will receive money, trips or other prizes.

PokerInCanada.com will not always use all forms of treasure; however they will always be in the order that is above.

Pan Tournaments:

Pan tournaments run in a very similar manner to the Hold’em tournaments. They are all solely Sit n Go tournaments and the winner split a percentage of the Buy-In. For example if the Buy-In is $5+$.50 and there were entry spots for 10 players, the pot would be $50. This pot would then be split between the two winners, with the 1st place winner taking 65% and the second place taking 35%.

Each player begins the tournament with the same chip stack. The players play until one person holds all of the chips. When this occurs the winning player takes the larger percentage of the Buy-In pot.

Multi-Table Tournaments:

Multi-Table tournaments are tournaments with more than 10 players and multiple tables running concurrently. As players are eliminated, tables merge. This continues to happen until only 1 table remains, and ultimately finishes when 1 player holds all of the chips.

Each player begins the tournament with the exact same amount of chips. There are both Limit and No Limit Hold’em Multi-Table tournaments. When one player has all of the chips the prizes are awarded according to the prize payout for that particular tournament.
